Our EU project BabyRobot holds an exhibition booth at the 2018 IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS’2018), October, 1-5, 2018, Madrid, Spain.

IRAL co-organized the 3rd Workshop on Behavior Adaptation, Interaction and Learning for Assistive Robotics (BAILAR 2018), which took place at the 27th IEEE International Symposium on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (RO-MAN’2018), Nanjing, China.

Our late-breaking research paper: “A framework for robot learning during child-robot interaction with human engagement as reward signal,” (authors: M. Khamassi, G. Chalvatzaki, T. Tsitsimis, G. Velentzas and C. Tzafestas) received an award (Nanjing City Prize) at the 27th IEEE International Symposium on Robot and Human Interactive Communication (RO-MAN’2018).

Petros Maragos and Nancy Zlatintsi gave a Tutorial on “Multimodal Speech and Audio Procesing in Audio-Visual Human-Robot Interaction” at Interspeech-2018 at Hyderabad, India, on Sep 02, 2018. In addition, P. Maragos gave two IEEE SPS Lectures on “Nonlinear Aspects of Speech Production” at the Summer School on Speech Signal Processing (S4P) at DA-IICT, Gandhinagar, India, during Sep 9-11, 2018.
